Answers to what people actually write in about, plus a real address for everything else.

Timers and sessions

I closed the tab/app mid-session — did I lose it? No. Sessions run against a clock, not a page that has to stay open — if you come back before the session's end time, it resumes exactly where it should be, and if you come back after, it settles based on the time that actually passed. You don't need to keep a tab open for a session to count.

What happens if my computer sleeps or the browser is backgrounded? The timer is time-based, not tick-based, so it doesn't drift or lose track when your device sleeps — it compares the current time against when the session should end, the same way it does after a closed tab.

Do I need an account to use the timer? No. Every core feature — the timer, your companion, and your session journal — works fully as a guest, with your data stored only on your device. An account is optional and is for syncing across devices or purchasing Pro.

Your data

Where is my data, and how do I get a copy of it? In guest mode, on your device only. Go to Settings → Data and choose "Export guest data" — it downloads a JSON file with your sessions, tasks, sanctuary progress, and preferences, generated on the spot from what's actually stored on your device.

How do I delete everything? Settings → Data → "Delete my data" clears every local store in one step. This can't be undone. If you've also connected an account and want your account-level data removed too, email us — see below.

I don't want any analytics collected. You don't have to do anything — analytics are off by default and only turn on if you explicitly enable them in Settings. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Purchases and Pro

I subscribed on the web but don't see Pro. Web purchases go through Polar and are confirmed back to your account by webhook, which is usually near-instant but can occasionally take a minute. If Pro still isn't showing after a few minutes, use "Check for purchases" in your account settings, and email us with the email address you purchased with if it still doesn't resolve.

I subscribed on my phone but don't see Pro on the web (or vice versa). Make sure you're signed into the same account on both — mobile purchases made through RevenueCat and web purchases made through Polar both grant entitlement to whichever account was signed in at the time of purchase, not to the device.

How do I cancel? Web subscriptions (Polar): use the link in your purchase confirmation email, or email us and we'll help. Mobile subscriptions (App Store / Google Play): manage them from your phone's own subscription settings — Apple ID → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Subscriptions — since Apple and Google, not us, hold that billing relationship.

I bought Lifetime — is there anything to renew? No. Lifetime is a one-time purchase; there's nothing to cancel or lapse.
